The Miss
South Carolina Poultry Festival Pageant will be held on Saturday,
March 13, 2010 at the Batesburg-Leesville High School Fine Arts
Center on Hwy 391 (600 Summerland Ave.) in Batesburg-Leesville. The
Winner of the Miss Division will receive a $1000.00 Scholarship to
the school of her choice, 1st runner up will receive a
$300.00 scholarship and the 2nd runner up will receive a
$200.00 scholarship. You are invited to take part in this event.

– photogenic optional) Personal Interview @ 2:15 ready to begin interview)
During Div II there is a parade of Contestants; please wear a WHITE outfit for this event. Any style of outfit will be fine as long as it is in good taste!) Pageant: 4:00 p.m.
In the Beauty Competition, there will be a Queen, Second and Third place winner in each group. Everyone must enter the beauty competition. There will be a photogenic competition in each category for those who wish to enter. There will be one photogenic Queen in each group.
The Beauty
Queen will receive a crown, trophy, and banner. The runner-ups will
receive a trophy. Contestants not placing will receive a participation
trophy. The photogenic Queens will receive a trophy.
Entry fee
for the Beauty Competition is $50.00. Entry fee for each photo in
the photogenic competition is $10.00. Photographs will not be
accepted in frames. 5x7 and 8x10 only please! Bring photographs to
the registration table at time of registration labeled with division and
name of contestant on the back of photo. Photographs must be picked up
after the pageant at the registration table. We will not be held
responsible for any left photographs!
Admission – $10.00 12 &
up, $5.00 – ages 6 to 11,
EVERYONE,
except
contestants and previous year’s visiting Queens
MUST PAY!
Entries must
be received by Saturday, March 6, 2010!
Applications will not be accepted without payment.
Please help make this pageant a success by adhering to the deadline.
No one is
allowed to compete for a title she has already won!
All reigning Queens not competing in a higher category are invited to
crown new winners, please call
Janet Ricard at (803) 924-4072 if you wish to crown. Any parent,
guardian, guest or contestant not showing good sportsmanship will be
banned from any future pageants. Queens 8 & older are asked to ride in
the South Carolina Poultry Festival Parade on Saturday, May 8, 2010, the
Peach Festival Parade on Saturday, July 3, 2010, and the
Batesburg-Leesville Christmas Parade on Sunday, November 28, 2010.
Miss Queen please note that you must participate in the three
aforementioned parades in order to receive your scholarship! For

my heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, release and discharge
the sponsors and operator of $1500.00 Scholarship Beauty Pageant and
their agents and employees from any and all claims for damages suffered
as the result of my participation in or traveling to or from the said
pageant. I specifically release and discharge said operators and
sponsors from all injuries or damages arising from or contributes by any
physical examination or other evidence of my fitness to participate in
such event the same being my sole responsibility. I also give my
permission for the free use of my name and picture in any broadcast,
telecast of other written account of the event.
